We draw on over 30 years experience as beekeepers and a combined teaching experience of over 50 years to plan and deliver effective training courses. This is why we were awarded Best Beekeeping Training Provider 2023.  We are the leading beekeeping training and experience provider in Wales based on customer numbers and customer satisfaction.

Beekeeping is an activity that is not successfully learnt from books, webinars and the internet alone. There is a lot to learn to make a successful start to what may become a fulfilling, lifelong-learning activity. We firmly believe that sufficient knowledge and skills cannot be gained on a one-day beginner's course or a course where 12 or more students are crowded around the same hive. The track-record of our past students prove that on completing our intensive two-day beginner course, they are ready to acquire and successfully manage their own bees.

Training courses are held between the beginning of April and the end of August and consist of a mix of practical and theoretical tasks with illustrated presentations in the classroom, practicing management scenarios with empty hives and inspecting occupied hives in the nearby dedicated training apiary. Some of the hives are under cover, so courses go ahead regardless of the weather. Choose between So, you want to be a beekeeper! two-day beginners course or Be a better beekeeper - one day improver's course. Gift vouchers are available for all of our training courses.
